Looks like the same picture used to depict President Bush at any given leftist anti-Bush rally for the last eight years….

I hardly ever down-ding, but you just got one.
I bet you think it is cool to call a black man a “Porch Monkey” too….

Wow. What is wrong with these people? Do they think they’re being clever?

Please forgive me everyone, I forgot that irrational left wing hate is ALWAYS, and in every instance, MORALLY SUPERIOR to irrational right wing hate…/

Since the photo came from the Daily Kos blog — I would like to know where the original photo came from, who took it, and where it was published prior to the Kos blog.

These people have no shame.

Oh, btw grim traveller:

There is a long racial history behind calling or comparing African American and other people of color to apes and monkeys. It is several magnitudes of order worse then the website known as “The Smirking Chimp” using the same comparison to president Bush, which was already quite bad enough.

Black people have been derided as apes or called monkeys for centuries in order to justify slavery, apartheid, sexual oppression and murder. By claiming they are “closer to nature”, or “not as advanced”, the monkey theme reinforces the idea that black people are not entirely human, and therefore one need not be guilty about using them as animals.

The same tactic was used by the British against the Irish during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, especially during the Cromwell genocide and the great famine of the mid nineteenth century. Irish men and women were called apes, monkeys and so on. Harper’s magazine published several illustrations comparing Irish workers to black slaves with ape like features.

Learn some history before you make embarasingly ignorant remarks. It will do you some good.

Hate is hate is hate.

Utterly, revoltingly wrong. But if you want to play with false equivalency, have at it.

There is nothing at all alike between mocking Bush as stupid and smarmy, and using a vile historical construct that has been used against African Americans for centuries and has a body count attached to it.

Mocking Bush as a chimp is insulting and degrading, but has no historical or cultural context for white men in the 21st century. You cannot seriously compare that with the Obama=chimp signs that do draw on a disgusting and deliberate context of racial supremacy.

Left wing hate in this country has never even begun to approach the depths of racial right wing hatred and armed violence, and your feeble attempt at equivalency makes you real suspect in my opinion.

BTW, the less you mention zombie around here, the better.
